Point Cook man charged over hit-run in Hoppers Crossing

A 20-year-old Point Cook has been charged by police following an alleged hit-run collision in Hoppers Crossing on Thursday, October 10.

Police allege a Nissan Pathfinder and a red Toyota Corolla collided near the intersection of Old Geelong and Dunlop roads about 10.30pm.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 39-year-old Wyndham Vale woman, was assessed at the scene by ambulance.

It was reported to police that the driver of the Nissan fled on foot.

Police conducted a search of the area and arrested the alleged driver of the Nissan at a nearby location.

The man has been charged with trafficking and possessing a drug of dependence, being equipped to steal, failing to exchange details at a collision, as well as various traffic and weapons related offences.

He was bailed to appear before the Werribee Magistrates’ Court in April 2025.
