Point Cook fire under control

Cade Lucas

A fire at a home in Point Cook this morning has been brought under control.

FRV and CFA crews arrived at the home in Glastonbury Court just after 11 am and found the second floor of the building engulfed in flames.

Additional crews were soon called, with more than 30 firefighters taking almost half an hour to bring it under control.

All occupants of the home were accounted for and given precautionary checks at the scene by paramedics.

No other properties were affected by the fire, with the cause still to be determined.

Firefighters remain at the scene to extinguish the fire and assess damaged sections of the home.
