Pedestrian killed in Hoppers Crossing collision

A man has died after being hit by an SUV in Hoppers Crossing on Thursday night.

Investigators believe the collision occurred near the intersection of Heaths Road and Derrimut Road at about 10.30pm on June 15.

The unidentified male pedestrian was treated by emergency services, but died at the scene.

The driver of the SUV stopped at the scene and has since spoken to police who are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

It’s the 146th death on Victorian roads this year, compared to 107 for the same time last year.
