A Werribee riverkeeper is encouraging Wyndham residents to take part in the state government’s Suburban Parks Program.
A plan has been drafted and community members can voice concerns and make suggestions about the Werribee Township Regional Park, located in Tarneit and Wyndham Vale.
John Forrester says he’s delighted the new parks will be available for future generations.
“This long-awaited park will give an open-space-poor Wyndham, a generous amount of public land,” Mr Forrester said.
“It will also open up access to the river, and provide more room for closely built suburbs to enjoy the natural outdoors.”
