Children and staff at a Point Cook early learning centre definitely weren’t sleeping on the job last week, even though they were wearing pyjamas.
On Friday, youngsters and employees at the Guardian Point Cook Play and Learn Early Learning Centre wore sleepwear for National Pyjama Day.
The annual event is held to support The Pyjama Foundation, which provides children in foster care with support to develop their learning, life skills and confidence.
The early learning centre collected gold coin donations for the foundation on National Pyjama Day.
In addition, in the lead-up to the day, the centre collected donations from the families and the community, raising almost $200 for The Pyjama Foundation.
On Friday, children at the centre also brought their toys for a teddy bear’s picnic, and cooked up treats including pancakes, protein balls and pizzas.
