Homicide squad detectives have charged two men following a shooting in Point Cook last week.

Mark Dixon, 30, and Jack Harvey, 26, were each charged with one count of attempted murder on warrant after they were arrested in Broken Head, New South Wales, yesterday.

The Point Cook men are due to appear at Byron Bay Courthouse later today.

The charges follow the shooting of 53-year-old Sydney real estate agent Sid Morgan, who was shot in the face at a home in Spraypoint Drive around 11pm last Friday.

Mr Morgan remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
