Local artists will have their work shown in a free digital exhibition at the Wyndham Art Gallery.
Presented by Wyndham council, OPEN HOUSE will run until January 17.
The show reflects the growth of Wyndham’s art community, with work from 10 artists who work across a variety of mediums, ranging from video to paper-mâché.
Wyndham creatives Ayesha Dharmanbandu and Paul Zahra have curated the exhibition, which features work by Angela Hickey, Duain Kelaart, Stephanie Lenehan, Catherine Mackay, Dean Patchett, Crystal Peterlin, Stephanie Prole, Michelle Ripari, Jeff San Augustin (aka Vigilante Creative) and Moreen Wellington Lyons.
Wyndham mayor Adele Hegedich said the show demonstrated the city’s quality art scene.
“OPEN HOUSE taps into the city’s rich creative community and highlights the immense talent of local creators,” Cr Hegedich said,
“Being able to deliver the exhibition online means Wyndham residents can discover quality art in a safe and accessible way.
“The digital platform also enables local artists to present their work to a vast audience outside the walls of the gallery.”
Wyndham’s creative city portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud, encouraged residents to view OPEN HOUSE.
“OPEN HOUSE enables emerging curators to gain valuable experience in a gallery close to home,” he said.
“The exhibition amplifies the profile of local artists and ensures Wyndham’s art scene remains on the map.”
