The Melbourne Fringe Festival is coming to the west.

Wyndham, Maribyrnong, Brimbank, Hobsons Bay and Moonee Valley councils are uniting to present some of the festival’s top acts and their shows.

Wyndham arts, culture and heritage portfolio holder Tony Hooper said the festival shows would include something for everyone.

“While each of the performances will offer different experiences, the common thread is that they’re all fun and they all include opportunities for the audience to take part,”
Cr Hooper said.

Rogue Romantic will be performed at the Kelly Park Centre in Werribee, on Friday, September 21, and Saturday, September 22.

“Described as ‘Kate Bush meets Tim Minchin’, Rogue Romantic is a must see,” Cr Hooper said. “It’s an exciting night of cabaret, comedy and original music from the award-winning Anya Anastasia.

“There’s plenty of fun for the kids as well, with Circus Trick Tease presenting a special school holiday performance of their action-packed show, Children are Stinky.

“Following sell-out shows in Melbourne, Adelaide and Edinburgh, you can expect incredible acrobatics, lightning fast hula hoops and loads of belly laughs,” Cr Hooper said.
