Novel fundraising plan

There’s never been a better excuse to indulge your inner bookworm.

Hundreds of fiction books, non-fiction books, children’s books, DVDs and CDs will go on sale this weekend in a charity book sale to raise money for the Werribee Hospital Foundation.

Lisa Field from the Werribee Hospital Foundation said the book sale was the brainchild of Heather Brett, who often fundraises for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

“We have so many books … and it’s all for a good cause,” Ms Field said.

“The proceeds of the sale will be part of our annual gifting to the hospital, and I’d have to say the priority is around maternity and children’s services, because there is such a demand in that area.

“We’ll certainly be supporting local families.”

The charity book sale will run on March 30-31 at 64 Evrah Drive, Hoppers Crossing.

Call Lisa on 0433 559 530 for more information.
