Nominations for the 2024 Wyndham Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards

will open on Sunday October 1 and run until October 31.

Wyndham mayor Susan McIntyre encouraged residents to get involved by

submitting a nomination.

“These awards recognise the service and outstanding contributions of Wyndham City

residents who help make Wyndham a better place,” Cr McIntyre said.

“This could include areas such as education, health, fundraising, charitable and

voluntary services, business, sport, art, the environment and others.

We’ve all met someone who goes above and beyond to serve our community,

whether it be in our workplace, local community group or sporting club.

Working behind the scenes to help others, often these people are the very last ones

to put themselves forward and that’s why your nomination is so important. These

awards are a terrific way for us to say thank you.”

Young Citizen of the Year is open to residents aged 16 – 25 years, with Citizen of

the Year open to ages 26 and above.

Nominations will be assessed by an independent judging panel, with the winners

announced in early 2024.
