Wyndham council’s has announced the opening of a new Multistorey Public Car Park, located within the Holiday Inn building.
The public car park contains 167 spaces, located on the first 4 levels of the building and includes eight accessible public parking spaces.
Residents can park up to three hours free each day, before a $5 flat rate is charged.
Wyndham council said the new Public Car Park at Hunter Werribee replaces the old open-air public car park that was on the site prior to redevelopment and is more than twice the size as the old public car park.
An overnight rate of $50 is applied after 24 hours.
Council said the car park has been constructed to serve the whole of the Werribee City Centre and offers undercover parking protected from the weather, and features elevator access and CCTV surveillance for customer safety.
Lights above the parking spaces indicated whether a space is free.
Assistance is available to users 24/7 via phone, intercom or at the paystation.
All payments are by credit card only and the car park is cash-free.
