Developer Cedar Woods is aiming to attract first home buyers to its latest residential precinct in Williams Landing, Marshall Place.

The precinct, which is the final one planned so far for Williams Landing, consists of 80 lots and townhomes located near Woodbury Street.

Marshall Place features three and four-bedroom townhomes starting from $567,500 and land lots starting from $370,000.

The land lots are sized from 182 square metres to 294 square metres.

The Marshall Place precinct is located within Williams Landing’s 50-hectare town centre, which to date has mainly featured apartments among shops, offices and retail.

The median house price in Williams Landing has risen by 42 per cent since 201, from $478,000 to about $680,000.

Cedar Woods state manager Lloyd Collins said he believed a diversity of housing stock was the key to creating opportunities for first home buyers, with a particular focus on affordability.

“We have worked to bring more affordable homes to Williams Landing, we knew there were the buyers out there,” he said.

“We always wanted Williams Landing to be an inclusive community, somewhere for young families to lay their roots, so diversity of product has been key to our master planning to ensure supply meets demand.”

Mr Collins said that recent increases in government incentives for first home buyers has led to them becoming “a strong buying force” in the real estate market.

“Marshal Place offers what many young buyers would expect from inner-city living but with the added benefit of a backyard, as well as offering more space and more affordable price point,” he said.
