Residents browsing for a book at Hoppers Crossing Library will benefit from upgrades to the space made by Wyndham council.
The re-furbished area has an updated layout and new modern furnishings that council says have greatly improved the space and ambience at the library and make the entrance to the library more welcoming.
“The refurbishment has enhanced the placement and the visual look of our library collections with
new shelving to improve the space,” acting city life director Mel Chapman said.
“Shelving layouts have been improved so patrons have a more visual connection with the collections leading to more interest and engagement as they walk into the library.”
Ms Chapman said popular reading material would feature on displays, “making it easier for patrons to browse and find
books that interest them”.
“The back area of the library has also been opened up to create a welcoming ambience with more
spaces for tables and seating,” she said.
“Remember library membership is free. There is amazing array of library resources to utilise and there is something to interest everyone. Come and visit the re-furbished Hoppers Crossing (Plaza) Library.”
