Wyndham Art Gallery has announced the upcoming exhibition ISTHMUS, which will open on Wednesday August 24 and run until October 16.
Wyndham council’s creative city portfolio holder councillorr Marcel Mahfoud encourages residents to immerse themselves in the “wonderful new exhibition”.
“ISTHMUS explores the collective voices of artists from Central America and the complexities of currently living there or being part of the wider diasporic community,” he said.
The exhibition is curated by Point Cook local, Dr. Tania Canas.
“Through her selection of artists, the ISTHMUS exhibition is considered, nuanced and powerful in bringing unheard narratives to the fore. This exciting exhibition is not to be missed,” Cr Mahfoud said.
The ISTHMUS exhibition seeks to understand the lived Central America experience, from the collected voices in the exhibition.
