Multi-million Wyndham properties go on the market

Two multi-million dollar properties are on the market in Wyndham – and if they sell for their asking prices, they’ll be among the top sales in the area for the year.

A six-bedroom, three-bathroom house with custom-built shed on a 1.6-hectare block along Robbs Road, Werribee South, is on track to be the biggest sale in Werribee South this year, with an asking price of between $2.199 and $2.399 million.

A three-bedroom house sitting on a 5432sqm block in Wattle Avenue could be Werribee’s richest sale for the year with an asking price of between $1.995-$2.225 million.

A Real Estate Institute of Victoria spokeswoman confirmed that if both properties sold for their asking prices, they would be the most expensive residential sales in Werribee and Werribee South this year.

Barry Plant Werribee agent Matthew Howden, who is handling both sales, said at just over four acres, Robbs Road was a good-sized, well established property.

“You’ve got a heap of open space, you’ve got a beautiful six-bedroom home with study on the property,” he said.

“There’s a huge shed, and the land size – it’s not on the small size, it’s not on the large size. It’s one of the ones that’s right in the middle.”

The Wattle Avenue property, which was initially listed as a private sale, will now be auctioned in February.

Barry Plant Werribee director Donald McKillop said the Wattle Avenue site could be used for a range of purposes, including a bed and breakfast or reception centre, subject to council approval.

“With Wattle Avenue, you just don’t get that size property in a residential area any more, and that’s what makes it unique,” Mr McKillop said.

“And that part of Werribee is the pièce de résistance.

“Anything on the south side of Synnot Street, leading all the way down to Werribee South, is very sought-after.

“The upkeep of the homes are very good. You go to Wattle Avenue and you see that all the homes are pristine, all the gardens are done, and that keeps your value.”

Mr Howden added: “You’re so close to everything that Werribee has to offer, also freeway access; it’s also very close to the beach and there’s a good variety of homes.”
