Wyndham council’s Morning Melodies have returned to the stage during the coronavirus lockdown.
The musical events are being performed at the Encore Events Centre and streamed live on Facebook for residents to watch, free of charge.
Wyndham’s arts and heritage portfolio holder, Cr Tony Hooper, said Morning Melodies had a loyal following within the community.
“While you may not be able to attend the event in person, you can watch the show with a friend or the family and enjoy a morning tea together while watching these talented performers online,” Cr Hooper said.”
“Council has been in touch with aged care homes to see how they can help share these live performances to residents and recreate the magic of Morning Melodies in a home setting.”
The first Wyndham Morning Melodies event streamed live on Facebook was a Buble and Crooners Show, which was broadcast last Tuesday.
In August, a Beatles-themed performance will be staged, September will feature the music of Elvis and in October an ABBA duo will sing the band’s top hits.
