Construction is set to commence on a new shopping centre in Tarneit.
The $41 million Bluestone Hub shopping centre will be delivered by developer-builder Oreana, and is set to include 4200 square metres of lettable space on Gaits Drive.
The new town centre will feature approximately 23 shops, including a supermarket, food and beverage, gym, medical centre and a chemist.
Already committed to leasing at the town centre are Yes Yes Grocery, Ray White, a café, barber, laundromat and Aspire Early Education.
A notable design feature of Bluestone Hub is the planned pedestrian walkway, which will connect the waterways to the west with the parklands and historic homestead to the east once built.
This link will host three community spaces, which may be suitable for alfresco dining, retail, medical services, or a gym.
Oreana managing director Tony Sass said he expected the new shopping precinct to be a ‘one-stop destination’ for locals living in the Bluestone and Harlow estates.
“This new town centre is perfectly positioned between two fast growing communities, offering key retail and services to enhance daily life for residents,” he said.
“These centres play a crucial role in shaping vibrant, well-serviced neighbourhoods and we take pride in delivering high-quality retail spaces that enhance the everyday lives of local residents.“
Bluestone Hub is expected to be completed in mid to late 2026.
