Two Wyndham football clubs will come together for the fundraising Mercy Cup match next week, in support of the new paediatric ward at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

Werribee District Football Club will host the second annual Mercy Cup on Saturday, August 10 at 2pm at Keogh Homes Oval (Soldiers Reserve).

Werribee will take on Point Cook Football Club, with all funds raised on the day to go towards the Werribee Hospital Foundation’s efforts to outfit and equip the paediatric ward.

The new 12-bed general children’s ward, set to open next month, will mean Wyndham’s children and families can access vital care and services locally.

Werribee Districts football player Judah Dundon and Point Cook footballer Ryan Butler are rallying support for their respective clubs, in the hopes of raising a combined $10,000.

The Werribee Hospital Foundation is also working with the community to help raise funds for the paediatric ward.
