One man has been taken to hospital and another is assisting police with their inquiries after a fight erupted on Watton Street in Werribee this morning.
Acting Sergeant Justin Hunter said two men who are known to each other started fighting on the footpath in front of Raffael’s Cafe about 11.15am this morning.
The scene has been cordoned off and Wyndham’s Crime Investigation Unit has taken over the investigation, which is continuing.
Detective Sergeant Dennis Williams said a 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital with unspecified, but non-life threatening, injuries.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Laverton man is assisting police with their inquiries.
