Man dies in Werribee collision

Police are investigating a three-vehicle collision that has claimed the life of a man in Werribee this afternoon.

Investigators said they believe a blue sedan collided with the rear of a silver Mitsubishi Triton on the Princes Highway exit, near Old Geelong Road, about 3.30pm.

The Mitsubishi then crashed into the rear of a white Toyota Camry.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the driver and sole occupant of the sedan sadly died at the scene.

The sole occupants of the Mitsubishi and Toyota, both male, were uninjured.

Westgate Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and ask anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
