Man caught speeding on Doherty’s Road

Police have intercepted a Tarneit man allegedly travelling more than double the speed limit on Doherty’s Road, Truganina, on Monday, June 20.

The driver of a red Holden sedan was detected using a speed measuring device allegedly driving 124km/h in a 60km zone.

The 33-year-old driver is expected to attend the Werribee Magistrates Court on summons at a later date to face excessive speed related charges.

The vehicle was impounded and will spend 30 days detention at the vehicle impound yard.
