A 32-year-old Tarneit man is expected to be charged after a Mitsubishi Triton crashed into a house in Tarneit on the night of Monday, June 9.
Police responded to reports of a Mitsubishi crashing into a light pole and reversing into a tree and a house on Rejoice Street some time after 10pm.
No one who was home at the time was injured and the Mitsubishi was not at the site when police arrived.
A short time later the Mitsubishi, alleged to have been involved in the crash, returned to the address.
Police allege that the driver of the Mitsubishi provided an evidentiary breath test reading for alcohol of .205, more than four times the legal limit.
The alleged driver and his passengers were not injured in the crash.
The Tarneit man is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences and his licence was suspended on the spot.
