Melbourne rock band Shadowqueen, featuring Point Cook resident Robbi Zana, will launch its new album on September 14.

Living Madness captures every decibel of Shadowqueen’s monstrous live sound and every nuance of the group that includes drummer Alex Deegan, guitarist Si Hopman and vocalist/bassist Robbi Zana.

“The album has been in the works for almost two years so it’s very exciting to be finally releasing it,” Zana said.

Shadowqueen’s 2012 debut album Don’t Tell was an instant hit in Europe, earning the three-piece band rave reviews and a loyal international fanbase. Living Madness is Shadowqueen’s second album and includes the singles Unconditional, Waiting On You and new single Open Your Eyes.

Shadowqueen will launch the album with a show at The Tote in Collingwood on Thursday, September 14.

“It’s been a long time coming. We released a single and music video at the end of last year so it’s been action, action, action,” Zana said.

Zana works part-time in Werribee and mentors groups at Werribee Secondary College. The band is eager to perform at local venues to gain the community’s support.

“We’d love for people to buy our album and look out for gigs. We hope to perform at Weerama Festival in Werribee next year,” she said.

“Unfortunately we took off in France and haven’t taken off in Australia, so it would be really nice to promote the band in my home town.”
