A group syndicate set up by a Point Cook newsagency has won more than $1.6 million in TattsLotto.

The division 1 prize was part of the $20 Million Superdraw on Saturday, February 16.

Fifteen members of the syndicate, named “Happy Days”, will share in the winnings.

Apart from winning a division 1 prize, the syndicate’s System QuickPick entry won 18 division three prizes and 48 division four prizes, bringing total winnings to more than $1,688,000.

Each member of the syndicate will receive $112,545.

Shares in the group syndicate, set up and sold by Nextra Point Cook, were also sold at TattsLotto outlets in Avondale Heights, Greensborough, Ballarat and Ocean Grove.

Nextra Point Cook team member Ann-Maree Stubberfield said she was “over the moon” for the Happy Days syndicate.

“We’ve [the store] been here just over a decade and this is the first division 1-winning entry we’ve sold,” she said.

“We’ve all been on tenterhooks when we check customers’ tickets as we can’t wait to break the winning news to the syndicate members.”

The winning numbers in the $20 Million Superdraw were 27, 18, 19, 38, 43 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 22.

Across Australia, there were 12 division 1-winning entries in the draw, including seven from Victoria, two from New South Wales and Western Australia and one from Tasmania.
