Lord of the Fries heads west

A new Lord of the Fries restaurant is set to open at Pacific Werribee later this year.

As well as being known for its chips, the franchise – which is vegan, kosher and halal – also sells veggie burgers, onion rings, vegetarian nuggets and vegetarian hot dogs.

The company’s co-founder and chief executive Mark Koronczyk said the Werribee outlet would be Lord of the Fries’ “first venture out west”.

“The new store will create between 15 – 20 new jobs for Werribee locals,” he said.

“Werribee is one of Melbourne’s fastest growing suburbs at the moment and as it grows, so does the appetite of its locals for more variety in its range of casual dining options.

“Following the upgrades to Pacific Werribee which is now a thriving local hotspot, we thought this would be the perfect location to open our latest store.

“With even more Aussies becoming increasingly aware of where their food is sourced, the effect it has on the planet and their health means that there has been a higher demand for vegan options across the board which we’re aiming to meet by expanding out west.”

Mr Koronczyk said Lord of the Fries had received plenty of positive feedback about its plans to open in Werribee.

“We’ve had a really positive response across our social channels for the launch of the new store,” he said.
