A Tarneit school has added some newly-translated books into its Library of Languages.
The Library of Languages at Baden Powell College, which was funded with a grant from Wyndham Rotary, is a collection of multilingual books and books in English, with translations completed by community members.
Students and staff borrow these books to use in class or to read at home.
Senior students, parents and support staff from the school last week volunteered to participate in a workshop, to help translate new books at the library into different languages spoken at home by students and families.
The Library of Languages aims to make all families at the school, including those from non-English speaking backgrounds, feel they belong to the community.
Baden Powell College is attended by students from more than 50 different countries, who speak more than 60 different languages.
