Wyndham council has announced that the Point Cook, Manor Lakes and Werribee Plaza libraries will be reopening to the public next week.

The libraries, which were closed during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown, are set to re-open on Monday, November 16.

Library members will be able to borrow items or book time on a computer, for up to an hour, from 10am on Monday.

Due to limits on the number of people allowed in the libraries, there may be a wait to go in.

The click and collect service will continuie from Tarneit and Werribee libraries, along with the delivery service. Library items will continue to be delivered to residents, but staff will not collect items to be returned. Items can be returned via library chutes.

The council has encouraged residents to take advantage of its 24/7 online library which includes e-books, e-magazines, e-audio books, movie streaming and children’s educational games.

Before entering any council facilities, you must be wearing a fitted face mask, in line with the direction of the state government. Children under the age of 12 and people with certain medical conditions are exempt.

Sanitise your hands upon entry to council facilities, and maintain at least 1.5 metres between yourself and others at all time.

Library staff remain on call to answer any questions you may have between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday on 8734 2600.

Returns chutes are open at all Wyndham library branches from 9am Monday to 5pm Friday.
