A Hoppers Crossing driver has received $2000 worth of penalty notices and lost four demerit points.
Police say the driver allegedly failed to display L-plates, was a learner driving unaccompanied and was driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
Police said the driver told them they were going to KFC.
