Lantern Festival to light up Footscray

Footscray will shine brightly in a celebration of Vietnamese settlement in Australia when the Lantern Festival lights up Leeds Street from noon-7pm on September 17.

The festival is one of 15 festivals that have been funded by Maribyrnong council, along with other upcoming events, such as the Edgewater Festival on November 19, the Albanian festival on December 11 and Carols in the Gardens on December 17. Maribyrnong will also host a range of partnered festivals, including Fringe Out West and Eat.Drink.Westside.
