Wyndham council has announced that it has established its new Early Years Provider (EYP) Panel, which it expects to strengthen the delivery of kindergarten services across the municipality.
Council formed the panel through putting out a request for access process in December last year, of which it received submissions from several early years providers.
Following that, interviews were conducted in January using Wyndham’s assessment framework, which council refers to as being merit-based and equitable.
As a result, six early years providers were appointed to the new panel.
Council will continue its existing partnerships with ECMS, One Tree Children’s Services, KU, and Bestchance.
The organisation will also welcome two new organisations to Wyndham’s early years sector, those being Y Ballarat and BPA Children’s Services.
The appointed providers will lead the implementation and ongoing delivery of kindergarten programs across Wyndham.
Each organisation brings significant sector expertise and has signified a strong commitment to meeting the needs of Wyndham’s growing and diverse community.
The new Panel Deed will be in place until December 2028, and is intended to provide stability and continuity for families, kindergartens and the broader early years system, while supporting innovation and community-centred service delivery.
Council says it looks forward to working closely with all six providers to support the municipality’s rapidly growing population and ensure every child has the best possible start in life.
