Three Point Cook siblings have turned their love of Harry Potter into a way to make new friends.

Atticus, 11, Ashlea, 10, Aubrey, 5, and their parents recently moved from Singapore to Australia.

Their mother, Leah, said that during their first two months in Australia, the children started making a Harry Potter-inspired garage games arcade out of cardboard.

They also made a Harry Potter-themed photo booth, complete with a broomstick.

Leah said that the siblings had hoped to invite the neighbourhood children over for a Harry Potter garage arcade event, in order to make new friends, but that the COVID-19 pandemic had halted these plans.

Instead, they started to sell the wands they had been making, to give out as prizes to the arcade event, for $10 each.

The two older siblings paint the wands, while Aubrey is in charge of the packaging and making sure orders match clients’ special requests. Leah does the marketing, via social media.

Atticus, Ashlea and Aubrey have been dressing in Hogwarts robes and cycling around Point Cook to deliver the wands to local children.

“I like to see how all the kids are really excited to see us, it makes them really happy and it’s like the movies coming to life,” Atticus said.

Atticus and his sisters said they would put the money they raised from selling the wands towards renovating a house that their parents hope to buy in Point Cook.
