Hold your horses … the Werribee Racing Club is back in action for 2017.
The club will open its track to the masses on January 27 for the annual Kids’ Day Out race day, which has an eight-race schedule, with sports, arts and crafts and other activities for children.
Entry is free for those aged 17 and under.
Club general manager Glenn Scott said the Kids’ Day Out would follow an unscheduled January 5 race meet at Werribee, which originally had been slated for Ballarat.
“The club is really looking forward to the day, which falls next to Australia Day and is part of a four-day weekend for many.”
