Weekday morning workouts have helped residents at one Tarneit estate trim their waistlines.
Members of the Live Life Get Active program have lost a combined 41 kilograms and shed 54 centimetres of waistline since the program started at the Grove estate.
The free sessions, which feature boxing, cross training and yoga, are run between 9.30-10.15am from Monday to Friday during the school term.
Stockland development manager Jacklynn Kent said the sessions had encouraged residents to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle.
“It’s proven to be a winning recipe for more and more people who have not just jumped at the opportunity for free fitness in a picturesque locale, but the chance to meet new neighbours,” Ms Kent said.
Program ambassador, and Olympian and Commonwealth Games champion, Jane Flemming added: “This is exactly the type of results we established Live Life Get Active to achieve and I would also like to congratulate everyone involved”.
The sessions are run in the park at The Grove sales and information centre on 180 David Road, Tarneit.
