Wyndham council is calling for new members to join its People’s Advisory Panel, a group of locals who want to help shape the future of Wyndham.
The People’s Advisory Panel is a way for residents to have their say and be directly involved in upcoming projects.
Mayor Mia Shaw said that it doesn’t matter if you are new to the area or a long-time local, sharing your unique insights is what matters most.
“Our residents know Wyndham better than anyone, from the parks they enjoy to the streets they travel, they understand what makes our city great and what could make it even better,” Cr Shaw said.
“The insights from our community are invaluable when it comes to shaping Wyndham’s future.
“The People’s Advisory Panel provides residents with an opportunity to get more involved and help shape council decisions.
“To create a panel that truly represents our diverse community, we especially encourage the following groups to join and share their unique voices and insights, women, young people aged from 16-24 years and LGBTIQA+ community members.
“Together, we can ensure Wyndham continues to be a vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking city and one that reflects the voices of everyone who calls it home.”
Once part of the panel, residents will be able pitch ideas, interact with their neighbours and see how the council makes its decisions.
Registrations close on Sunday 30 November.
