Pacific Werribee and its community partners will present the shopping centre’s inaugural Jobs Fair this month.
Pacific Werribee will host the event, which will include both virtual and onsite events, in conjunction with the Wyndham Opportunity Network, AMES, the Wyndham Community & Education Centre, The Huddle and Jobs Victoria.
The Jobs Fair will include workshops and seminars to help prepare participants looking for employment, with a focus on topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, job searching and personal branding.
Participants will also receive one-on-one mentoring and coaching and have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews.
The Jobs Fair will include information about the full-time, part-time and casual job opportunities available across the retail spectrum, from national fashion and lifestyle brands to local food and beverage vendors.
The first virtual workshop, titled How
to apply for work in Wyndham, will be
held via Zoom on Wednesday.
This presentation will offer guidance on preparing an application tailored to respond to a specific job advertisement.
A hypothetical job advertisement will be presented and participants will be invited to prepare an application in response, which they can submit in the
following days and receive feedback about.
The Jobs Fair will run Thursday 19 –
Friday 20 and Thursday 26 – Friday 27
August, 5pm – 8pm daily.
