Ironbark plaque unveiled

The Wyndham Stadium Precinct project has celebrated a milestone with the naming of ‘Ironbark Pavilion’ at Ironbark Fields in Tarneit.

Wyndham City mayor Jennie Barrera unveiled the plaque amid celebrations.

“This plaque commemorates our journey in naming this state-of-the-art training

facility,” she said.

The facility includes three football pitches, a two-storey pavilion and capacity for

5,000 spectators at the main pitch.

“I appreciate the community’s support during the naming process, and I am excited to

see this stage of the project successfully completed.” Cr. Barrera said.

Upon the stadium’s completion, the facility will serve as the main training base

for Western United Football Club’s A-League teams, NPL and academy teams.

The facility will also provide opportunities for other rectangular field sports such as rugby and gridiron.
