Pupils at a Hoppers Crossing school have been learning all about first aid.

Professional trainers from St John Ambulance conducted a first aid incursion for students in prep to grade 2 at Woodville Primary School, earlier this month.

The incursion aimed to teach the youngsters about simple but important aspects of first aid, such as calling for help in an emergency and recognising emergency situations.

In April, grades 3 and 4 at the school will also take part in a St John Ambulance first aid incursion.

This year, the St John Ambulance First Aid in Schools Program will deliver free first aid training to 200,000 Victorian primary school students.
