Wyndham’s tourism and major events spokesman John Gibbons described the festival as “a great way to kickstart the school holidays.”
“The Winter Street Party was a great success last year, and this year’s event is promising to be even bigger and better,” Cr Gibbons said.
“The event will be spread across four areas – Station Place, the Wedge Street Piazza, Watton Street and the Cultural Centre – and will be an opportunity to experience everything the Werribee city centre has to offer, from food and shopping to entertainment.
“Many of the businesses along Watton Street will be open late, with special activities and warming winter treats on offer, providing the perfect pit stop for dinner or a steaming cup of hot chocolate.”
On the night of the festival, the cultural centre will also host film screenings of
The Secret Life of Pets at 4pm and Middle School at 7.30pm. Bookings are required.
