Hoppers Crossing woman arrested

A Hoppers Crossing woman will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court today in relation to an alleged armed robbery.

The 30-year-old woman, who was wanted in relation to a number of outstanding warrants, was arrested by Altona North Embona Armed Robbery Taskforce, with the assistance of the Wodonga Criminal Investigation Unit,  in Herne Hill yesterday.

She was charged in relation to the alleged theft of motor vehicle and assault in Benalla on July 6, an alleged armed robbery in Hoppers Crossing on August 3 and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and possessing a drug of dependence.

The woman was remanded in custody.
