Hoppers Crossing teen drowns at Docklands

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the discovery of a Hoppers Crossing teenager’s body in Docklands this morning, Tuesday, November 30.

Officers from the Water Police and Search and Rescue were called to assist after it was reported a 19-year-old Hoppers Crossing man had fallen into the water about 1am.

Two other males who were with the man at the time raised the alarm after he failed to surface, and a search of the area commenced.

Sadly, the man’s body was recovered from the water about 4.15am.

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
