Hoppers Crossing student tests positive to virus

A Hoppers Crossing Secondary College student has tested positive to the coronavirus.

Although it is school holidays, the college will close for three days for a deep clean.

Channel Seven has reported that contact tracing is underway. Other students and staff from the college have been asked to stay at home until close contacts of the diagnosed student have been established.

Yesterday, two additional staff at Al-Taqwa College in Truganina also tested positive to the virus.

A Truganina family has been linked to five cases of the virus.
