A 51-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Hoppers Crossing earlier this month.
The body of a 40-year-old Darley woman was found at a house in Grevillea Crescent on August 3.
The Hoppers Crossing man, who was arrested at the scene with serious injuries, was charged with her murder.
Police believe the two parties were known to each other.
Homicide Squad detectives charged the man in hospital where he is still recovering from his injuries and where a bedside remand hearing is expected to be held this afternoon.
