A grass fire outside Hoppers Crossing station was brought under control earlier this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to a fire at Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing just after 2pm on Thursday November 23, following multiple calls to Triple Zero.
Firefighters arrived at about 2.08pm to find some tyres on fire at the rear of a retail outlet.
The fire spread to nearby grass burning about 20 square metres before being contained and brought under control at about 2.13pm.
No one was injured and there was no disruption to train services.
