CUTE CATS: Now is the purr-fect time of year to give a cuddly cat or cute kitten, such as Daphne, a new home.
Registered cat rescue charity Purrs of Point Cook will hold a Lap Warmer adoption event this Saturday from 10am to 2.30pm to help its feline charges find new families.
The event, to be held at Best Friends in the Point Cook Town Centre, will have adoptions available starting at $99.
Purrs of Point Cook, which is run solely by volunteers, rescues stray, unwanted and unloved cats and kittens from the western suburbs of Melbourne with the aim of finding them loving new owners. The rescue group has a network of foster carers who provide homes for the rescued cats and kittens until their forever homes can be found.
Purrs of Point Cook’s rescued cats and kittens are vet-checked, wormed, flea-treated, microchipped, desexed and given their first vaccinations prior to adoption.
