Home invasion arrests

Police have arrested four males in relation to a home invasion and non-fatal shooting that occurred in Gladstone Park last month.

A 17-year-old Mill Park boy was taken into custody in Bundaberg, Queensland, by local police about 7am on Wednesday, August 20.

Investigators will now apply for his extradition.

With the assistance of Queensland Police Service and the VIPER Taskforce, search warrants were executed at residential premises in Bundaberg, Mill Park, Meadow Heights and two Tarneit locations.

A 16-year-old Meadow Heights boy, a 21-year-old Tarneit man and an 18-year-old Tarneit man were arrested and will be interviewed by police.

On Thursday, July 24, emergency services were called to Trentham Drive to reports that five males had broken into a house and assaulted the two occupants about 1.25am.

Police will allege a 60-year-old man inside the house was confronted by the group of males before he was shot in the arm and assaulted with a variety of weapons.

He was hospitalised for serious injuries.

A 57-year-old woman also inside the premises was threatened with the firearm but not physically injured during the incident.

Investigators believe the incident was targeted.

Anyone with information on illicit firearm activity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
