One of Wyndham’s biggest festival’s is returning to Tarneit this Saturday, March 26.

Holi is an Indian festival that celebrates colour over bleakness and good’s triumph over evil, but all communities are welcome to participate.

Event organiser Pradeep Tiwari said the festival is a celebration of community inclusiveness and diversity.

“Now more than ever the community needed a reason to celebrate after a two year period in which the whole world suffered.”

“This is a free community event where everyone comes together to celebrate, which includes people from many different backgrounds and ethnicities.”

Mr Tiwari said it was important for the event to have a mix of free and paid activities, to cater to the needs of the neighbourhood.

“We invite people from all communities and cultures to come and celebrate. It is a celebration with dance, music, food, rides and activities and something for the entire family to do and see.

Attendees can have their face painted at no cost, watch stage performances, food trucks, carnival rides and fireworks.

The festival will be held at Tarneit Gardens shopping centre on Wickford road in Tarneit from 11am-9pm.
