Wyndham council has urged residents to have their say on a new park which is being planned for Tarneit.
Designs for Caraleena Drive Park include a playground, a social area with seating, walking paths and open space with trees and plants.
Wyndham’s family friendly city portfolio holder, Cr Mia Shaw, said the park would become a valuable addition to Tarneit.
“Local parks play a vital role in the life of a community – they provide space for exercising, playing, socialising with friends and family or relaxing and unwinding,” Cr Shaw said.
“This park will give residents a place to take their kids for some fun on the playground, a great spot to go for a walk and enjoy some greenery, and a big open space to kick a footy or have a picnic.”
The council is encouraging residents to shape the way Caraleena Drive Park will look by participating in a short survey on The Loop website, which will be open until Friday, July 10.
The survey gives residents the opportunity to view and comment on the designs for the park and detail how they would like to use the park, and what playground equipment they would like to see installed.
This feedback will be used to inform the final detailed design of Caraleena Drive Park, with construction expected to commence by mid-next year.
