Wyndham council is seeking community consultation relating to the use of Hoppers Junction, and potential improvements to make the space more accessible and safe.
Hoppers Junction is located at the end of Old Geelong Road in Hoppers Crossing and houses a strip of 24 businesses.
Wyndham councillor and city design portfolio holder Josh Gilligan welcomed the feedback, saying Hoppers Junction is a prime location to play, shop and relax.
“Wyndham City is committed to creating spaces that everyone can enjoy,” he said.
“Our population is expected to grow to 500,000 by 2040.
“We look forward to traders and the community sharing their thoughts on the current site and what they’d like to see at the junction in the future.
“The shops alongside the crossing adopted the name Hoppers Junction in recognition of the importance of this central point in the heart of Wyndham.”
Cr Gilligan said he hopes Hoppers Junction is made more inviting as the city grows, and he looks forward to seeing the strip become a stronger hub in the community.
Feedback can be shared via The Loop until October 23.
