Happy result for fundraiser

A ladies day organised by the Wyndham Business Tourism Association and The Werribee Racing Club has raised $2500 for a good cause.

The event, held to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), was sponsored by Triwest Professionals Real Estate in Werribee.

Business owners Paul and Kathy Nuske said their real estate group had an association with the foundation that dated back to 2006.

“The ladies day event was a terrific opportunity for us, not only to raise much-needed funds but also to raise breast cancer awareness in the Wyndham community and the important role of the NCBF,” Mr Nuske said.

“We would like to thank the Wyndham Business Tourism Association, the Werribee Racing Club and the support of those 140 people who attended the event, that made ladies day not only successful but an enjoyable event.

“A special thanks also to Tracey Ryan, our brave guest speaker who spoke …about her personal battle fighting breast cancer.”

Mrs Nuke said that the foundation received no government funding and relied on the support and donations from the Australian community.
