Wyndham council has launched a new program offering grants of up to $15,000 to community groups and not-for-profit organisations located within the municipality.
The Medium Grant program aims to support initiatives that improve community connectedness, health, wellbeing, the environment and cultural activities.
Mayor Adele Hegedich said applications would be assessed on their ability to align with the Wyndham 2040 Community Vision and strategies to support the area’s ongoing COVID-19 recovery.
“We know how important it is for residents to see funding and investment go direct to the local groups and organisations that are making a difference in our community—and this is found within our community groups,” Cr Hegedich.
“Our incredible community groups are always there to help our city, so we’re thrilled we can invest in them so they can continue their much needed and appreciated work within our community, making our Wyndham 2040 vision come to life by building a stronger, more connected community.”
The council will also offer a Small Grants program on a monthly basis and a Large Grants program in September.
Medium Grant applications will close Monday, August 16.
